How To Get Krabi

How to getting Krabi by Map

Getting to Krabi is very simple. Visitors can arrive in Krabi by plane, bus, car or boat from the north and south of Krabi.

By Train:

There is no direct train from Bangkok to Krabi. Visitors can use this service, starting from the Bangkok Railway Station and down at Surat Thani railway station or Thungsong junction railway station at Nakhon Si Thammarat or Trang railway Station, Then use a taxi service to get to Krabi. Distance from Surat Thani Railway Station to Krabi is about 160 km. From the Trang railway station to Krabi, about 141 km and the distance between Thungson railway station to Krabi about 150 kilometers.

By Bus:

Goverment operates air-conditioned and non air-conditioned bus conect between Bangkok, Phuket, Phang Nga, Trang, Hat Yai and Surat Thani (Samui) to Krabi's bus station. Buses from Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal takes about 12 hours to Krabi, everday. Information Tel 1490 or www.transport.co.th and you can online reserve at www.thairoute.com

In addition to these buses, many bus companies and travel agencies provide air-conditioned bus or minibus to and from Krabi and other nearby provinces.
Bus transportation from Phuket to Krabi is every day.

By boat:

Numerous ferries connect the town of Krabi, Railey Beach, Ao Nang and Phi Phi, Koh Jum, Koh Lanta and Phuket. All routes and schedules are subject to change, which in just a few of the season. and often require the transfer of ships from other long-tail boat. Stickers in various colors are the passengers to different places, to avoid confusion. Sea tablets are recommended for travel during the monsoon season from May to October.
Ferry between the city of Krabi and Koh Lanta, Koh Jam only operates from October to April, which the time leaves twice daily at 10:30 and 13:30.
There is a ferry to Krabi / Ao Nang / Railay and Koh Phi Phi work all year round, daily, a few variations from different places. Travel to and from Phuket, Krabi, Ao Nang, Railey, Koh Lanta require a transfer or a break in Koh Phi Phi.
